Hello Crafty Followers! It has truly been too long since I've posted about my crafty endeavors. Since my last post I've been to Philadelphia for the wedding of my best friend. While I was nervous about flying, it was an adventure that proved to be a delight! I saw some incredible things and was introduced to the most amazing store... ahum... LUSH! "Louis this could be the start of a beautiful friendship" perfectly describes my feelings toward the trendy vegan/ environmentally friendly haven! Anyway, moving right along from my discovery of the witchcraft that is the FUNbar and Twilight bath bomb! I also met some pretty amazing people and bonded over Bacon, because who doesn't love bacon (... no offense to my vegetarian followers). To sum up a story that could one day be turned into a romantic comedy by Hallmark... I shall suffice to say that I had a wonderful time! You wanna know more? "Let them eat cake!" These immortal words are accredited to Marie Antoinette, I have been known to use this quotation a little more often than any one human should in her lifetime. Birthdays with me are never dull, especially MY birthday. It's possible that I act like the doomed queen, but that's neither here nor there. Le Cake!   Anyway when I found a pattern for a kleenex box cover that looked like a delicious piece of cake... well I couldn't resist the urge to make one. I DID resist the urge, however strong, to powder my face with massive amounts of cornstarch and break out my horse-hair wig from the theatrical closet! Just kidding, I don't have a horse-hair wig. Hello wonderful readers out there! Well it's Wednesday and of course we all know what that means... HUMP DAAAY! Well actually it's more than that. If you check your favorite crafting blogs or instagram you can find tons of WIPs for this day! It's always inspiring to see all the projects that fellow crafters are working on. Hello Lovelies! I'm back and ready to give y'all a free pattern today!  This pattern can be easily adapted to create an elegant shawl! For the moment I'm calling my result a "Stole" but technically it's just a wide scarf. Either way, I'm totally loving how it turned out! It features an open lattice pattern, which works up very quickly and requires minimal crochet know how... So it's a perfect project for beginners!  Le Finished Scarf! I love the Fishnet feel!
