Mermaid Tears Scarf

Hello Lovelies! I'm back and ready to give y'all a free pattern today!  This pattern can be easily adapted to create an elegant shawl! For the moment I'm calling my result a "Stole" but technically it's just a wide scarf. Either way, I'm totally loving how it turned out! It features an open lattice pattern, which works up very quickly and requires minimal crochet know how... So it's a perfect project for beginners!  Le Finished Scarf! I love the Fishnet feel! Let's get started shall we? Things you'll need: H Crochet hook  1 skein of your choice of worsted or aran weight yarn, (I used red heart super-saver in the shade of JADE) Tapestry needle A close up of the lattice work R1: Chain 40, Single crochet into the 8th chain from the hook, chain 5 and skip 3 stitches, Single crochet into the 4th stitch... repeat this pattern until you reach the end of your row. Well here we are. It's 2015! Whooo break out the apple cider and raise your glass! It's time for resolutions that some of us (myself included) will ultimately break. For example, blogging! Oh goodness, I'm so sorry to all of my readers. It's been forever since my last post. Let me assure you that I've been working on my "year of projects"... the crafty part? I kinda rock at! Not so much on the follow up blogging. I've completed some wonderful projects and y'all deserve to share in the fun!
