A Project That Takes The Cake!

"Let them eat cake!" These immortal words are accredited to Marie Antoinette, I have been known to use this quotation a little more often than any one human should in her lifetime. Birthdays with me are never dull, especially MY birthday. It's possible that I act like the doomed queen, but that's neither here nor there.
Le Cake!
Anyway when I found a pattern for a kleenex box cover that looked like a delicious piece of cake... well I couldn't resist the urge to make one. I DID resist the urge, however strong, to powder my face with massive amounts of cornstarch and break out my horse-hair wig from the theatrical closet! Just kidding, I don't have a horse-hair wig. If I did, let's face it, it would be utilized almost daily. True confession, don't judge. I would look rather dignified in one of those, no matter how itchy!

Here's the pattern details. It's free! Yay! You can find the pattern by visiting the Tissue Box Bakery's website Here! There are several other cake patterns that are free as well, including a lovely chiffon cake which is next on my list!

Of course the big story around here has been the snow! I have to admit that we had some beautiful sights around here thanks to the few inches that we got Wednesday night.

Until next time, Happy Crafting! Keep warm and eat some cake!
