Basic Ribbed Skully

There's a chill in the air that screams out "Fall is here! Knit faster, Winter is coming!" Okay maybe it doesn't say that exactly, but still... knit faster! Knit all the things!!! Here's a pattern for a basic ribbed skully, perfect for beginner knitters. Just pop in a movie and by the end of it you'll have most of this project done!
So lets get busy!

What you'll need:
-1 skein of your choice of yarn... I used Red Heart Super Saver in Paddy Green
-Size 8 Straight knitting needles
-Tapestry needle

Cast on 100 stitches!
Row 1: k2, p2, k2, p2... you get the picture... repeat until the end of the row
Row 2: p2, k2, p2, k2.......

Repeat these two rows until you reach 11''.
Now we'll start shaping the top:
Row 1: *k2tog, p2tog.* Rep to last 2 stitches. K2tog
Row 2: *p1,k1* rep until last stitch p1
Row 3: K1 *p1, k1* rep until end of row
Rows 4 &5&6: Repeat rows 1,2&3
Row7: *k2tog* until last stitch K1
Row 8: Purl every stitch
Row 9: K2tog til end of row. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for weaving in later.
Draw end through the remaining stitches and fasten tightly.
Sew center back seam!

Tada! There you have it! A super easy skully! Make them in different sizes and colors to suit each member of your family! Keep your noggins warm!

Happy Crafting,
Miss Blue Bird
