Perfect Fall Pot Roast!
I love fall. I love the cooler weather and being able to wear the many fashions I've knitted or crochet this summer! But most of all I love the smell of something cooking in the crockpot after a long day of classes! Here's my favorite go-to recipe for instant goodness.... LIQUID FALL!!!! The aroma is magnificent and the pork cooks up "oh so love me tender" for a classic stew!
German Crock Pot Roast!!!
4 cups shredded red cabbage
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 lbs boneless pork shoulder
Combine cabbage, onion, brown sugar, and vinegar in 4 to 4 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper and brown in heavy skillet, about 5-6 minutes total, turning until browned on all sides. Place pork in slow cooker; cover, and cook on Low for 7-8 hours until pork registers 160 degrees F.
Enjoy! Bon appetite!
